Well-known to audiences around the world for her charged improvisations and complex renditions of the jazz classics, Hiromi’s performances are always highly anticipated events. The release of her first album Another Mind in 2003 when she was in her early twenties announced to the jazz world the arrival of the unstoppable talent. From that time on, Hiromi released numerous albums, participated in all major jazz music festivals and won multiple awards. In 2006, she was named Jazzman of year, Pianist of the year and made an Album of the Year by Swing Journal’s Readers Poll. That same year she won Best Jazz Act at the Boston Music Awards and the Guinness Jazz Festival’s Rising Star Award.
With each new album and world tour, the intensity of her music is only going up in line with the immensely high expectations from the fans. Its an amazing journey for the pianist who takes the audience for a breathtaking musical ride.
